‘Iona - A Liminal Place’
A hand-printed limited edition signed artist’s book, made in collaboration with the print designer Hannah Killoh. It holds within its covers a personal contemplative and intimate experience of the tiny Hebridean island I have been visiting throughout my life. My paintings and drawings are combined with photography and text reflecting my love of Iona - its natural beauty, creaturely life, history and geology, religion and myth. Imagery and text have been printed on papers of varying textures and transparency to create subtle qualities across and within the pages. A copy has recently been purhased by The National Library of Scotland to form part of its collection of artists’ books and zine publications.
